Xeikon achieves success at drupa 2024

Print Solutions Packaging Solutions

Xeikon has announced its success during drupa 2024. Exhibiting for the first time in hall 11, a hub dedicated to the packaging market, Xeikon and Flint Group showcased innovative solutions that captivated attendees and resulted in significant sales achievements.

In collaboration with Kurz, Scribos, Sappi, and Koehler Paper, the Titon solution, for wines and spirits labels, paper based packaging, and security applications, demonstrated printing and embellishing capabilities, powered by the Xeikon X-800 workflow. This generated significant interest and multiple sales. Among the successes was the sale of a TX500 solution to De Resolutie in the Netherlands, a specialist in home decor and large format applications. Another Titon solution goes to the German label printer Mail Druck+Medien.

The new Xeikon LX3000 (The Lion) for high speed digital labels, saw several experienced customers, including ELC étiquettes (France), and Abbey Labels (UK), chose to invest at drupa.

The debut of the Xeikon PX3300HD, a high speed, high quality UV inkjet label printing solution, featured the latest generation of the X-800 workflow functionality to support full variable data variability at 1200 dpi and 70 metres per minute. Litograf (Slovakia) is currently piloting this machine to print high end, high quality self-adhesive labels.

Beyond these three featured zones on the stand, drupa also offered outstanding business opportunities in new emerging markets and new applications such as paper cups, showcasing Xeikon’s established product lines, including the Cheetah and Sirius families but also the Idera solution for the corrugated printing markets.

‘Xeikon stands out as a versatile provider of digital printing solutions, catering to every market application with the most suitable technology. In the past, there hasn’t been a better venue to showcase our innovations than at drupa. While inkjet offers numerous benefits, toner technology remains the unrivalled solution for many packaging printing challenges. Visitors have shown great appreciation for our wide array of technological advancements and application innovations,’ said Rob Welford, president of Flint Group Digital.

‘But, eight years is a long time, so we didn't know what to expect. In the end, drupa turned out to reclaim the pole position in bringing the printing industry together on a global level. For Xeikon, this global function is vital to attract new customers. Running a drupa is like running a marathon; it takes strict preparation, clear goal setting, smart execution, and the result will be a lifetime memory and great business, of course.’
