The Net Zero Festival 2024 included displays and signage created by Antalis’ customer Onward Display using Xanita Print.
Onward Display used its know how on environmentally responsible display materials, selecting Xanita Print as the substrate of choice.
The event was ‘designed to inspire action, connect peers, showcase solutions, and provide advice on how best to execute net zero strategies’. Xanita’s strong sustainability credentials, therefore, aligned perfectly with the event’s goals.
The range is a 100% re-pulpable engineered, closed cell fibreboard manufactured with a corrugated kraft core made of recycled post consumer kraft boxes. In addition to being environmentally friendly, Xanita is lightweight and far superior to honeycomb boards, making it the ideal solution for various decorative and structural applications, including point of sale, shop fit, and exhibition design. Structures made from lightweight Xanita can also be flatpacked, making them easy to transport and reuse.
Using artwork provided by the client, Onward Display produced a variety of attractive signage and wayfinding for visitors, as well as stage backdrops, a press wall and three-dimensional lettering that greeted visitors at the entrance to the exhibition hall.
Project manager Callum Lagden commented, ‘As soon as we showed the client Xanita, it immediately liked it, and it fitted the budget. From a production perspective, Xanita is easy to use. It is easy to cut with our CNC machine; it is possible to produce a wide range of applications from a single sheet, and it produces a high quality print finish directly to its FSC certified fresh fibre outer liners.’
The venue, BDC, can become very humid; however, the Xanita boards remained sturdy and rigid throughout the two day festival.
Specification consultant at Antalis, Claire White, commented: ‘Onward Display’s work for the festival was a perfect showcase not only of the company’s skills and talent, but of Xanita’s outstanding properties as a display material and of how its sustainability credentials can support the transition to net zero.’
