Wiltshire based Tiato has acquired a Jwei Jcut 2131 digital cutting table from CMYUK, significantly enhancing its production capabilities and opening up new possibilities for efficiency and precision.
Prior to installing the new machine, Tiato managed its cutting needs using a combination of manual techniques and a CNC router. Although the latter was suitable for more rugged substrates such as wood, it lacked the finesse for cutting more delicate materials.
‘We were spending a lot of extra time sanding edges to achieve the right finish,’ said Tim Tomblin, owner of Tiato Sign & Digital. ‘Our manual processes, combined with the limitations of our CNC router, simply wasn't keeping up with our growing production demands.’
After exploring various options, Tim found the Jwei Jcut 2131 to be a cost effective yet high performance solution. Significantly lower in cost when compared to well known premium cutting brands, the Jcut provides advanced digital cutting capabilities without compromising on power or versatility. Its efficient design means that even small businesses can benefit from the kind of precision cutting and time saving functions, usually reserved for high end equipment solutions.
This machine includes an automatic feeding conveyor, 1800 kW liquid cooled router for powerful milling, Auto Tool Changer (ATC), Universal Cutting Tool (UCT), Kiss Cut Tool (KCT), Electric Oscillating Tool (EOT), Crease Wheel Tool (CWT), V-Cut Tool (VCT), and a modularised cutting head that accommodates up to three sets of tool combinations simultaneously. Speed performance from this table is formidable too, running up to 1200 mm per second, the equivalent of 75 metres per minute, with a maximum acceleration point of 1G.
‘The Jcut 2131 is the perfect fit for us,’ said Tim. ‘It offers all the essential features including higher kilowatt tooling at an affordable price point. It provides the accuracy, speed, and range of functions that a small business like ours needs to thrive.’
Since installing the machine, Tim has seen a significant improvement in the business’ workflow processes. Finishing tasks that previously took up to 20 hours by hand or required multiple steps using the CNC router are now completed within half a day with improved precision. In addition, the vacuum bed ensures materials lay flat for accurate cuts, reducing errors and material waste. It also offers additional functions such as creasing for custom packaging.
‘The Jcut 2131 has been a game changer for us,’ said Tim. ‘It not only saves time but also increases accuracy, allowing us to take on more complex projects. It's versatile enough to support our current needs yet gives us capacity for future growth.’
