The BCMPA launches new outsourcing campaign at Packaging Innovations to mark 25th anniversary

Packaging Solutions

The BCMPA – the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics – will celebrate its 25th anniversary at this year’s Packaging Innovations & Empack show by unveiling its #outsourcingis campaign. This new initiative aims to define the value of outsourcing, demonstrating how BCMPA members can support brands and retailers with enhanced operational efficiency.

‘Many businesses may not fully understand the transformative benefits of outsourcing or what it truly involves when applied to contract manufacturing, packing, fulfilment and logistics,’ said Emma Verkaik, CEO of the BCMPA. ‘This campaign aims to bridge that gap, showcasing outsourcing as a strategic advantage that drives growth and encourages collaboration between brands and third party providers to take their products to market.’

The new campaign will feature insights and video vox-pops from BCMPA members, offering an in-depth look at the wide range of outsourcing services available across sectors such as food and drink, personal care, nutraceuticals, household, chemicals, e-commerce, fulfilment, pharmaceuticals, and beyond.  The campaign will provide a dedicated social media handle to encourage engagement from members and a wider audience.

The BCMPA hospitality stand, located in the Contract Pack & Fulfilment Zone of Packaging Innovations & Empack, at the NEC, will be central to the event, providing attendees with practical guidance on selecting the right outsourcing partners. Here, visitors can meet nearly 20 exhibiting BCMPA members face to face and take part in live demonstrations of the association’s online search platform. Featuring over 200 member companies, the BCMPA website search facility helps businesses find tailormade solutions to meet their specific outsourcing needs, by service, sector and even quality certification.

Emma Verkaik will also be taking part in two events as part of the conference programme. On Wednesday, 12 February at 13.45, she will help to present the prizes to the winners of the 2025 Future Trailblazers Awards on the Circular Economy Stage, celebrating innovators shaping the packaging industry. And, on Thursday, 13 February at 12:45 on the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Stage, she will be hosting a fireside chat titled ‘Scaling Without the Stress: How Outsourced Fulfilment Drives Business Growth’ with BCMPA member Laura Ball of the PHL Group and Rob Smith, co-founder of Arrowtown Drinks – a purpose driven brand creating natural vodka sodas.

The 25th anniversary and #outsourcingis campaign mark a period of significant development for the BCMPA, coinciding with the launch of its associate membership programme. This new scheme connects brands with sponsor companies across contract manufacturing, packing, fulfilment, and logistics, helping members enhance their offerings and drive collaboration across supply chains.

Emma Verkaik said, ‘As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are excited to highlight how outsourcing remains a key driver of innovation and efficiency in the industry, and we look forward to showcasing the value it brings to businesses at the Contract Pack & Fulfilment Show.’
