Scalderhurst, the Kent based paper merchant and conversion company has signed up to join the AIMS Group of independent merchants.
Scalderhurst is a well known company within the industry and has a strong reputation for providing an excellent level of service and range of quality products to its customers across the trade. As a full member of the AIMS association it gains access to the group’s extensive list of suppliers, mill branded grades and support.
‘We are thrilled to become a member of AIMS. Joining the group has been on our radar for some time now and whilst we remain fiercely independent, we see the mutual benefits of joining such an established association. We look forward to working with our fellow members over the coming months to develop the numerous opportunities that we have identified,’ commented Richard Fowler, owner and managing director of Scalderhurst.
Commenting on the latest addition to the group, David Merry, director of AIMS and managing director of WL Coller, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Scalderhurst into the fold. As a like minded independent merchant, the company sharse our common group ethos of being customer centric with an entrepreneurial approach to doing business. It is a good fit for the group. We have a number of suppliers in common and together with other synergies, we will be able to offer an enhanced level of service to our customers and partners across the UK and Ireland.’
Last year, the £100 million turnover AIMS Group welcomed two new directors to the board. James Ovenden, managing director of Ovenden Papers and Gerard Barron, managing director of Realt Paper joined David Merry, WL Coller and long standing director Steve Gould, David John Paper.
