Route 1 Print pioneers new perforated range

Perforation is the latest in a long line of releases where Route 1 Print has responded to direct client requests – something of which the company is very prous. From service updates to product launches, Route 1 Print will often be led by client feedback in order to keep the business in line with client needs.


The company is particularly excited to launch perforation as it is the first amongst its UK competitors in online trade print to offer this finish. It has been a popular product request for some time and the company anticipates a great response from its client base.


To begin with, clients can choose from four different perforation options across Route 1 Print’s flyer and leaflet range – perfect for creating tickets, vouchers, and tearaway forms. Just like regular folded leaflets, perforation orders will be folded on an Encore MB heavyweight folder. However, instead of a simple crease, the items will be pressed with a perforation wheel to create the perforated lines.


Route 1 Print hope to expand the perforated range as soon as it can, including the possibility of perforated booklets!


‘Client feedback is a huge part of our decision making process when we are looking at launching new products,’ said Jack Crofts, product coordinator. ‘Our job is to make our clients’ lives easier so if we follow their requests, we can be sure that we are on the right path. Given how many requests we have had for perforation, I am confident we are going to see a very positive uptake.’


Route 1 Print clients can make requests through the company’s regular customer surveys, or by contacting their account manager at any time.


Brand manager Christie Round encourages all Route 1 Print clients to reach out if there is ever anything they need, saying: ‘Our account managers are always happy to pass on ideas and no idea is too small if it could help our clients. We will be launching our summer survey soon so we are looking forward to seeing lots of comments and suggestions that we can take forward.’
