Label converters from across Europe can learn how the innovative Monolox system can help them produce more and better while boosting efficiency and saving money, when they attend a free open house event in Warsaw, Poland, on Thursday 26 September.
Specialist narrow web printing ink manufacturer Pulse Roll Label Products has teamed up with Mark Andy for the event showcasing Monolox, the fixed anilox printing process that makes flexo printing simple and puts an end to lengthy, cost intensive anilox changeovers.
‘We are looking forward to demonstrating to print customers how the combination of our cutting edge LED flexo inks and Monolox fixed anilox printing will benefit their businesses,’ said Jim Whitehead, export sales director with Pulse. ‘In a market driven by shorter run lengths, fast turnarounds, and increasingly complex graphic designs, every penny matters. Converters seeking to remain competitive need to carefully consider how their investments will improve their quality and throughput.’
‘Enabling printers to produce any spot colour with just one anilox volume, the Monolox system reduces the associated downtime of anilox selection, minimises waste, and cuts variability out of label printing,’ explained Jim.
Monolox is made possible by advancements in ink technology and a bespoke mixing database. Using the PureTone series of high strength, single pigment bases that can easily achieve a delta e of less than two, combined with all the information required for instant colour matching, printers can produce any half or full tone from just one anilox. With no need to change anilox rollers between jobs, converters significantly improve their productivity while driving efficiency.
‘This open house event hosted by Mark Andy in Poland will feature live print runs and demonstrations that highlight the variety of benefits Monolox can help businesses unlock,’ added Jim. ‘From cost savings through the range of aniloxes needed, the amount of set up material used and volume of ink wasted, through to productivity gains from a standardised anilox selection, with simplified colour matching increasing press uptime and ensuring consistent quality.’
‘The strength of the PureTone inks used in the Monolox system means consumption is reduced by 30% on average,’ added Jim. ‘With less ink printed, printers not only benefit from lower expenditure but also cause less harm to the environment through unnecessary raw material use and the associated greenhouse gas emissions.’
Mark Andy Poland director Przemysław Polkowski said, ‘As a pioneer of the printing industry with more than 75 years of expertise, customers turn to us for every aspect of their production workflow. Today’s printers are walking a fine line between dealing with costs and the opportunities offered by innovations that increase efficiency and support sustainability.
‘The combination of high strength, single pigment UV flexo inks and fixed anilox printing in Monolox can deliver real world benefits and improve both production efficiency as well as the bottom line. Giving converters the opportunity to join us and see groundbreaking technologies like this up close, live and in action, is the best way to understand the benefits their businesses can unlock, and we are delighted to be partnering with Pulse for this event.’
The free to attend Monolox open house from Pulse will take place on Thursday 26 September at Mark Andy Poland in Warsaw. Places at the event are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
