Roland DG has hosted its ‘DG Dimense Unleashed: Art Meets Décor’ event on November 28, 2024, at its Creative Centre and dedicated DG Dimense EMEA hub, in Serris, Paris.
Designed to inspire and engage the interior decor community, this exclusive gathering brought together 11 influential business leaders, interior designers, and creators from across Europe to explore the potential of Dimense technology.
The event provided attendees with an opportunity to experience the Dimensor S printer firsthand. The Dimensor S, a world first innovation, seamlessly combines printing and embossing in a single pass, creating stunning 3D textures that redefine possibilities in wallpaper, canvases, paintable wall coverings, and even digital concrete. Attendees discovered how this technology bridges the gap between science and art, unlocking unlimited creative potential for the interior decor industry.
The day commenced with an introduction to Roland DG and DG Dimense, setting the tone for an engaging and interactive agenda. The product showcase, led by Sandra Morkevice, head of region, and Michel Van Vliet, vice president of business development at DG Dimense, featured live demonstrations and a guided walkthrough of the Dimensor S’s diverse applications. From intricate wallpaper patterns to textured, paintable designs, the showcase emphasised how this technology is revolutionising interior decoration.
One of the highlights of the event was the Inspiring Interiors: Top Five Trends for 2025 session, led by London based interior designers Sophie van Winden and Simone Gordon, co-founders of Owl. They revealed their predictions for upcoming interior design trends for 2025, such as the growth in popularity of themes including modern retro and pattern in nature, inspiring attendees to consider how tactile and textured designs could bring these trends to life.
Attendees were also invited to roll up their sleeves during the Paintable Dimense Decor Workshop, where they explored the Dimensor S’s interactive capabilities. Participants created personalised paintable wall coverings, experiencing the tactile magic of the technology.
The intimate format of the event fostered a collaborative atmosphere, encouraging attendees to share insights, ideas, and personal experiences. This dialogue provided Roland DG with valuable feedback while also highlighting the diverse approaches and creative visions of the businesses represented.
Stephen Davis, EMEA marketing director and UK president at Roland DG, captured the spirit of the event, saying: ‘The event demonstrated the power of DG Dimense technology to transform creative vision into reality. Bringing together such a diverse group of industry leaders, we were able to showcase how Roland DG and DG Dimense are paving the way for innovative, sustainable, and bespoke solutions in the interior decor market. The energy, collaboration, and insights shared reaffirm our commitment to inspiring the future of design.’
