Parkside is celebrating after news that its collaboration with tea company Bird & Blend has been shortlisted for a prestigious Supply Chain Excellence award.
The company’s innovative compostable packaging created for Bird & Blend’s selection of single serve tea bags, loose tea pouches and pyramid teabags, has been selected in the sustainable materials category. The solution developed by Parkside helped Bird & Blend move its full range of tea to a fully accredited compostable packaging design, further supporting the company’s long term sustainability goals.
Staci Bye, sales account manager at Parkside, said: ‘Sustainability remains king in the eye of the consumer, and applying this across the supply chain is vital to align with their expectations. For Bird & Blend, moving to compostable packaging was the next step in their strategy and our work with the company has been rewarded with this shortlisting.
