Roland DG has launched the TrueVis XP-640, the newest addition to its flagship large format printer series.
The 64” eco solvent inkjet printer delivers unmatched image quality and exceptional productivity. Featuring advanced high speed data control technology and newly designed dual staggered printheads, the XP-640 ejects finer ink droplets at higher density and speed. This combination maximises performance while achieving stunning, high definition image quality.
‘TrueVis is our flagship brand for large format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, which have won worldwide acclaim from sign and graphics professionals for their ability to produce outstanding graphics with the extraordinary power to excite hearts and minds,’ said Ryugo Nimura, president, global sales and marketing division. ‘The XP-640 is the latest model in this series, and we have further refined its print quality and achieved top class productivity through the addition of several innovations, including a new print head, upgraded control technology, and improved ink.’
The new eco solvent TH ink, featuring vibrant red alongside CMYK, orange, and green, offers exceptional accuracy in red and orange hues – the most critical colours in sign graphics. The expanded colour gamut ensures precise reproduction of corporate colours. With a lower ink cost per millilitre and reduced ink use through improved profiling, it maximises profitability in high volume production. The upgraded True Rich Color setting enhances graphic quality, delivering vivid colours, smooth gradations, and natural skin tones. Users can easily select from more vivid, deeper, or softer colour variations to meet specific client needs.
The XP-640 is packed with features for fast, high quality production. It boasts seven inch colour LCD touch panel, an automated media set up function for precise gap and compensation adjustments, a media take up system to reduce skewing, and a perforated sheet cutter for quick post processing.
To minimise downtime, users can now easily replace components, such as caps and wipers, without the need for a service engineer. Plus, the printer is compatible with Roland DG Connect, a cloud based service, which offers comprehensive support, including error troubleshooting, operational insights, profit tracking, and easy profile downloads.
