Mutoh EMEA celebrates 70 Years of innovation with two EMEA product premieres at FESPA

Wide Format Solutions

Mutoh Europe will be staging its entire XpertJet printer line up and its VerteLith RIP on its stand C40 in hall 1.2 at the forthcoming FESPA 2022.

This is a special anniversary year for the group. Mutoh Japan is 70 years old, Mutoh Deutschland is 50 years old, and Mutoh Europe is 30 years old.

The group is celebrating in style with two product premieres and a new trendsetting GBL free, quick dry non hazardous sign and display ink, exclusively at FESPA.

In the last few years, the company has entirely renewed its sign and display and dye sublimation product line up based on its new XpertJet printer platform.

As an EMEA premiere, the high productivity XpertJet 1682SR Pro is the latest XpertJet sign and display device with two AccuFine 3200 nozzle high productivity printheads on board. The machine can be set up in 2xCMYK as well as in eight colours (CMYK,Lc,Lm,Lk,Or). It is compatible with the existing MS41 Greenguard Gold certified inks, expanding the use in more sensitive environments like schools and hospitals and making the printer suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Compared to the existing XpertJet 1682SR eight colour printer model, the new XpertJet 1682SR Pro is up to 180 % faster. In line with the XpertJet 1341SR Pro and 1641SR Pro models released in Q1 of 2022, the new XPJ-1682SR Pro features I-Screen weaving, Mutoh’s fourth generation Intelligent Interweaving technology adapted to a staggered twin head printer and Mutoh’s genuine VerteLith RIP software.

In conjunction and compatible with the XpertJet 1682SR Pro, the company is releasing a new quick dry CMYK sign and display ink set called MS-51 series: it will allow users quicker turnaround times and shorten the application cycle; it is also a GBL free ink, with no danger or hazard symbols.

Also as an EMEA premiere, visitors will also be able to see the new 54” wide XpertJet 1341WR Pro which is targeted at the dye sublimation market. The XPJ-1341WR Pro features one AccuFine 1600 nozzle head. This model is added to the existing dual head XpertJet 1642WR Pro model. The XPJ-1341WR Pro is compatible with the DS3-series HC dye sub inks. HC stands for ‘Increased Colourant’ which means reduced ink consumption, faster drying and compatibility with lightweight papers. The DS-3 inks come in degassed 1 kg pouches for reliable jetting, excellent image definition and sharpness.
