Leicestershire based family firm, Melita POS, has announced the arrival of three new team members as part of its commitment to growth and excellence.

Andrew Cray has been appointed financial director, and is joined by Theresa Bhachu as account manager and Fiona Anthony as a 3D point of sale designer. Alongside these additions, the company has invested £200,000 in equipment, signalling a dynamic start to the year.

A qualified chartered accountant with 22 years experience in professional practice, Andrew Cray brings great strategic insight and capability to the firm and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's continued growth and stability.

Andrew commented, ‘I am thrilled to join a company that is not only committed to growth and innovation but also deeply rooted in its core values and community support. From day one, I have felt incredibly welcomed, and I am eager to contribute to its success in every way possible.’

‘Melita has an exceptional team, and I am proud to be part of it as we continue to build on the company’s award winning achievements. With such strong foundations, Melita is well positioned for an exciting future, and I look forward to the challenges ahead as I step into the role as finance director.’

Before joining Melita, Theresa worked on various accounts in the point of sale industry, gaining experience in client relations, project management, and developing tailored solutions for clients.

In her new role as account manager, Theresa will ensure smooth communication, timely project delivery, tracking and presenting key performance indicators, and developing detailed briefs. With a strong focus on client retention and growth, Theresa is dedicated to keeping clients informed at every stage of the process.

Theresa said, ‘I am excited to bring that experience to my new role here and continue building strong relationships with our clients. The team at Melita is incredibly welcoming, and the collaborative culture here makes it a fantastic place to work.’

Fiona brings her expertise in 3D design and interior architecture to the company, where she will create and develop innovative designs for current and prospective clients. She will also support the production team by providing technical drawings for manufacturing and exploring sustainable solutions to meet client needs.

‘I first fell in love with 3D design during university while studying interior architecture, and that passion grew even stronger during my maternity leave when I started freelancing,’ Fiona shared.

‘Melita has been an amazing place to work – the management genuinely cares about your goals and wellbeing, and the creative freedom I have been given has been a blast. I have already learned so much and look forward to going into work every day.’

In addition to expanding its team, the company has invested £200,000 into the business over the last 12 months to enhance its capabilities. This includes a significant investment in a new, customer focused website, as well as the adoption of AI technology across the businesses IT infrastructure to enhance customer service and increase efficiency.

Substantial investment has also been made in delivery and production with additions in logistics as well as a laser cutter, and edge bander. Collectively, these investments will save hundreds of hours in production, reduce lead times, and enhance price competitiveness, ensuring that clients continue to receive the best value and service.

Melita POS managing director Daniel Jacques commented, ‘Our new starters bring a wealth of experience, creativity, and energy to the team, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome them to Melita POS. Theresa, Fiona and Andrew each embody the company’s core values: innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.

‘At the same time, our continued investment in new machinery reflects our dedication to providing top quality solutions for our clients while remaining competitive in the market. Together, these steps put us in a fantastic position at the start of 2025, and I am excited about what lies ahead for our team and our clients.’
