Print Solutions

LT Print Group, the Wallasey based litho and digital printing company, is marking a significant milestone in the career of one of its longest serving employees, Richard Goodridge, who is celebrating his 25th anniversary with the company.

Richard joined LT Print as a 16 year old straight out of school, working in the factory, taking on various roles, from cleaning print equipment and mixing inks to assisting with deliveries. Over time, his curiosity and enthusiasm led him to explore different areas of the business, sparking a passion for pre-press design.

Recognising his potential, the company supported Richard in pursuing a BTEC in design, print, and publishing at Liverpool Community College. This training laid the foundation for a remarkable career, where Richard advanced from junior Mac operator to senior graphic designer, eventually becoming studio manager and a member of the senior management team following last year’s MBO of the commercial printer by managing director Andrew Whyte.

Reflecting on his journey, Richard said: ‘I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do when I first joined LT Print, but the company gave me opportunities to explore my interests and grow my skills. Over the years, I have seen incredible changes in technology and the industry, for example moving from film to CTP and we now see digital printing going toe to toe with litho printing.

‘However, despite all the changes and challenges, one thing has remained a constant and that is LT Print’s commitment to quality and innovation. I am as passionate about print and our industry as I was on my first day and it has been a privilege to be part of this journey.’

Richard’s expertise and dedication have been instrumental in shaping the company’s studio offering, blending graphic design excellence with the technical precision required in the print industry. From pioneering new techniques to ensuring the seamless transition to digital printing, Richard has been at the forefront of LT Print’s evolution, helping the company maintain its reputation for delivering exceptional results for clients across various sectors.

Andrew Whyte commented, ‘Richard’s journey with LT Print is a testament to his dedication, talent, and passion for the industry. His contributions over the past 25 years have been invaluable, not only in terms of his technical expertise but also in fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with him and look forward to many more successful years together.’
