Print Solutions Finishing Solutions
Konica Minolta is celebrating the success of its highly innovative TU-510 in line trimming unit, as the number sold in Europe reaches over 220 units. Launched in 2021, the TU-510 enables both commercial print businesses and in-house print rooms to streamline their production process to maximise efficiency and timesaving.
Designed to meet modern demands for flexible print solutions, the TU-510 saves operator time and reduces manual labour costs. Compatible with all AccurioPress systems, its capability to handle extra long sheets opens doors for a range of finishing techniques, enabling business expansion. A great example of the TU-510 at work is producing business cards where it efficiently slits and trims at a remarkable speed of up to 231 business cards per minute.
Integrated seamlessly into existing workflows, the TU-510 offers versatile configuration options. Paired with the IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Care unit, which ensures unparalleled colour consistency and registration accuracy, it becomes a powerful end to end print and finishing solution.
Notable users include the University of Leeds' Print Services department, leveraging the TU-510 with its fleet of AccurioPress C12000e, AccurioPress 7100, and two AccurioPress 6120’s.
Jon Hiscock, head of production and industrial print at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd, said: ‘The TU-510's unique versatility and efficiency, makes it a great choice for both commercial print businesses and in-house print rooms looking to streamline production processes, reduce human touch points and minimise waste. Highly versatile, it is perfect for a raft of media – from producing fully cut full bleed saddlestitched brochures, to single flyers and business cards. The TU-510 enables our customers to reduce their cost of production by producing finished documents in one path, rather than having the additional labour resources of using two separate devices. Overall, the process is quicker and more efficient, ultimately increasing production performance and profitability, reducing costs, and helping our customers to reach their full potential in a competitive market.’
