Koehler Group honours long time employees

Paper Solutions

Koehler Group employees stand out for a number of reasons, one of them being that many of them have an impressive length of service that spans multiple generations. This is tremendously important for the family business, as long lengths of service are one of the keys to creating extensive and comprehensive know how. Combine that with the fact that knowledge that can be transferred within a company and provides a solid foundation is becoming increasingly important, and it should come as no surprise that this level of employee loyalty is enormously appreciated.

At Koehler, the cornerstone for long lengths of service can be found in extensive job training and continuous advanced development and training opportunities. ‘Our employees make the difference – they keep expanding their skill set across the years and contribute enormously to the company’s success this way. Needless to say, we find their loyalty and commitment to be absolutely invaluable, so looking at an added total of 475 years with the company is something that fills us with pride. And of course, we look forward to that total growing even more,’ said Alexej Dmitrenko, head of human resources. ‘The best scenario is always when our employees remain with us a long time, help us shape the company’s history, and play a role with their ideas and innovations.’ That is why it is so important that the high quality of the training provided was confirmed once again this year with a re-certification with the ‘best place to learn’ seal of approval, showing that the company intends to keep up the quality of its training to continue a tradition of more than four decades of excellence.

On August 23, the company honoured 13 employees that celebrated important work anniversaries at the Oberkirch and Kehl sites. The anniversary celebration included a collective look back at the years when they joined the company, with ten employees having joined in 1982 and celebrating their 40th work anniversary this year, and three having joined in 1997 and celebrating their 25th anniversary. Representatives from top management and the works council, together with the managers to whom the employees report, thanked them for their commitment and decades of dedication to Koehler.

The following employees were congratulated on their 40th anniversary with the company: Josef Sturm, Ali Erdogan, Manuel Franz, Klaus Huber, Gerhard Maier, Birgit Huber, Roland Maier, Bruno Springmann, Josef Walter, and Andreas Welle. Meanwhile, Herbert Käshammer, Manfred Doll, and Alexander Weilert were congratulated on their 25th work anniversary.
