Inkbit expands with new 3D printing services

Industrial Solutions

Inkbit has announced the availability of its 3D printing services. Manufacturers looking to develop complex polymer products with intricate geometries and multi-material parts can now procure prototypes and production volumes without having to acquire an Inkbit Vista System.

What sets Inkbit 3D printing services apart is the unmatched printing accuracy, the geometric freedom and ability to print CAD files directly without the need for process specific tweaks. Its technology is natively multi-material, enabling for example, the printing of soft gaskets integrated into rigid structures. Thanks to its real time 3D inspection system, the process boasts extraordinary accuracy, guaranteeing that all components on the print bed will be consistently accurate and will fit together perfectly during assembly.

‘We have been impressed by the quality and feature resolution of parts made by Inkbit's manufacturing service,’ said Pietro Filardo, founder and CEO of Pliant Energy Systems Inc. ‘The team has delivered high quality, high volume orders on a moment’s notice, enabling our engineers to achieve milestones and breakthroughs in the development of our marine robotics and energy harnessing technologies. We consider the company an invaluable partner.’

The Inkbit technology is particularly well suited to multi-component and multi-material products comprising large numbers of parts that benefit from agile style development cycles. With reduced lead times and faster iteration cycles, Inkbit can accelerate product development and open a world of possibilities for robotic, aerospace, fluidic, automotive, and other applications.

‘Introducing our 3D printing services was a natural step in our commitment to provide customers with an accelerated path to the future of product development,’ said Davide Marini, CEO of Inkbit. ‘We want to offer a seamless end to end solution to facilitate the conception, refinement and realisation of complex, multi-material, intelligent products.’
