Seamless kiosk applications, a welcoming and informative customer experience facility, and the creation of inspiring events celebrating women’s experiences and career journeys – these were among the innovative and inspiring projects commended at this year’s Epson ColorWorks and mPos Awards.
Taking place at the Staverton Park Hotel in Daventry, the awards welcomed the top value added resellers, independent software vendors, and other experts from across Epson’s mPOS and label printing partner network.
mPOS Project of the year was awarded to App4 for its work on seamless kiosk applications to support and enhance legacy software using the Epson M30 series. App4 is renowned for developing software solutions based around the smart features of the mPOS printer range. As Epson has introduced new functionality over the years, App4 has always been quick to provide intuitive solutions to optimise the customer experience.
Dura-ID Solutions was awarded ColorWorks Project of the Year for its work with G A Pet Food Partners. This recognition was designated to a ColorWorks installation that reflected robust collaboration with Epson and the end user customer that automated their labelling using a sophisticated print and apply set up.
For the second year running Electronic Reading Systems Ltd was named ColorWorks Partner of the Year. This title goes to the reseller with the highest sales volume of ColorWorks hardware and demonstrates the continued success of ERS in the label printing market.
Also enjoying recognition for the second year running was mPOS Partner of the Year Commandear, which thanks to its rigorous focus on providing the best mPOS service possible for its customers generated the highest sales of mPOS hardware.
Hibiscus Plc received the ColorWorks Innovation of the Year award for its customer experience facility. With the full breadth of ColorWorks printers on hand, this facility accommodates end user demonstrations and sample creation, enables the exploration of in-depth testing and certification, and provides small run label printing solutions for its customers.
Lightspeed was named as the winner of mPOS Innovation of the Year for going the extra mile to empower women within retail and hospitality through a series of inspiring events celebrating women’s experiences and career journeys.
David Spratt, head of sales for business systems at Epson UK, commented: ‘We were delighted to again, for the sixth consecutive year, celebrate the success of our ColorWorks partners and to inspire some friendly competition amongst them. These exclusive awards commemorate new and decades long partnerships and put the spotlight on businesses that are pushing the boundaries with Epson’s robust labelling and mPOS technologies. It is our partnerships that are really helping Epson to be disruptive as a brand, and I look forward to cultivating these partnerships further in year ahead.’
The retirement of Sotos Mandalos, Account Manager at Epson, was also celebrated at the awards. Sotos, who has spent decades in the technology sector, is well known across the mPOS community and will be missed by his colleagues and partners.
