Packaging Solutions Green Solutions
UK headquartered sustainable flexible packaging business, Eco Flexibles, has demonstrated that it walks the walk on packaging supply chain sustainability with its latest Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody audit.
The results of the audit show zero instances of non conformance in its recyclable paper and fibre supply chain, the highest standard achievable, adding further strength to the company’s position in sustainable packaging solutions.
Simon Buswell, director at Eco Flexibles, commented: ‘We established our business to change the narrative around ‘green’ packaging and make it simpler and more value adding for our customers. Our latest achievement of zero non conformance in the FSC chain of custody audit is testament to our hard work in ensuring complete supply chain sustainability performance and further strengthens our credentials. It demonstrates to our customers that we are a business with the bigger picture in mind!’
The chain of custody path documents the journey taken by material substrates, and includes each stage of sourcing, processing, trading and distribution. Achieving zero instances of non conformance shows that the company's systems and processes for sourcing, tracking and labelling its products are in compliance with FSC standards.
Simon added, ‘We are making our name in recyclable high performance monopolymer flexible packaging solutions, and we are now further strengthening our collection with the addition of recyclable paper and fibre products. Ultimately, we focus on making it easy for brands to move away from the traditional non recyclable mixed material packaging that turns consumers off. As part of this drive, it is vital that we shore up our own sustainability practices and play our part in strengthening the packaging sector as a whole.’
