The recent Platinum Jubilee saw millions of people celebrating across Europe and leading UK food packaging manufacturer Colpac was the product of choice for the British Embassy in Berne, Switzerland during its festivities to mark Her Majesty’s 70 year reign.
The celebrations saw 500 guests, including trade envoys and senior people from the Embassy, tucking into a British inspired fare including traditional fish and chips which were served within the company’s cones.
Striking the image of the classic British dish, the handheld cones featured a newspaper print. While perfectly depicting the UK, using Colpac’s packaging also met the Embassy’s sustainable ambitions. Made from non coated paperboard, the cones are fully recyclable.
‘At the British Embassy we were already working with Colpac’s export manager in Switzerland and were confident that the packaging solution would meet the desired look and feel of our Platinum Jubilee party,’ commented Claire Parsons, trade officer for the British Embassy in Switzerland.
‘Here at the Embassy, we try where possible to support clean growth and Colpac’s commitment to sustainability made it the supplier of choice.’
As well as the traditional newsprint and kraft cones, Colpac also offers cones with a dipping corner, perfect for sweet or savoury sauces.
