Apogee Corporation sponsored Royal British Legion Industries’ ‘Rudolph Fun Run’ for the second consecutive year on Sunday 15 December, an event that raises vital funds in support of armed forces veterans.
The ‘Rudolph Fun Run,’ hosted at Leybourne Lakes in Kent, featured both a 2.5 km family friendly route and a 5 km chip timed route to allow participants of all ages to join in the fun. The event brought the community together while generating critical income to sustain RBLI’s vital work, raising over £19,700 for the charity.
RBLI is dedicated to enhancing the lives of veterans and their families, and the fun run fosters community spirit by engaging with the local community in creating positive change for those who have served in the armed forces.
‘Now in its second year, the Rudolph Fun Run was an incredible success as we welcomed more than 300 wonderful runners. With runners aged from three to 84, everyone came together to spread festive cheer and support our work with veterans. We are immensely grateful to everyone who took part and want to make a special thank you to Apogee for their generous sponsorship,’ said Natasha Wadhams, RBLI’s events fundraising manager.
‘Sponsoring the RBLI’s Rudolph Fun Run is a wonderful way to give back to the community local to our head office in Maidstone,’ added Apogee’s director of marketing Dom Gryszan. ‘We are delighted to be able to raise awareness for armed forces veterans and their families while spreading some festive cheer!’
This sponsorship reflects Apogee’s commitment to supporting local initiatives in Kent and beyond, positively impacting communities across the UK and Ireland.
