Packaging Solutions
Croxsons has helped Monmouthshire based Silver Circle Distillery launch its first product, Wye Valley Gin, with a distinctive bottle and closure.
In looking to develop a vibrant, dynamic spirits brand, the new craft spirits producer was after an impactful primary packaging solution synonymous with the essence of the Wye Valley – an area of outstanding natural beauty straddling the England/Wales border, characterised by its dramatic and scenic landscape of woodlands and lush meadows.
‘The bespoke bottle decoration on the initial run of 5000 units has a real handcrafted feel and produced a stunning result,’ said Croxsons’ Tim Croxson. ‘The bottle, delicately coloured blue green via a transparent coating has a map of the Wye Valley in an abstract style printed on top, providing modern and clean visual cues that are aligned with the product’s characteristics. The client chose a Croxsons t-shape wooden top, micro agglomerate cork, which complements the product really well.’
Commenting on the new bottle, Silver Circle Distillery’s Nina Howden, said: ‘Croxsons were the best choice to deliver our primary packaging requirements. They were able to guide us through every stage of the development process, advise all elements needed and kept the production on track. They have had involvement throughout the entire process and their advice has been invaluable.
‘We are really pleased with the final product. The bottle looks incredible and the quality of the finishing will add a lot of extra value to the consumer. Our next product to launch will be a honey gin and we can’t wait to see what the next bottle will look like.’
A Queen’s Award winner for International Trade, Croxsons is the UK’s oldest independent glass bottle business. Established by William Croxson nearly 150 years ago in London, the business has remained in the family ever since. Their multi-choice glass packaging expertise is utilised internationally.
