EBB acquires UniBoard

Elliott Baxter (EBB) has announced that it has acquired UniBoard.

UniBoard, based near Dublin, is one of Ireland’s leading carton board merchants serving the carton print sector in both The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The investment further strengthens the EBB Group, while also showing its commitment to this specific area of business.

The group will now hold an extensive range of board with over 15,000 pallets of cartonboard and packaging products in stock for immediate delivery.

UniBoard will continue to operate under the guidance of the current owners Myles and Sharon Fitzpatrick. The Investment from EBB will open up supply opportunities and allow the Irish business to further develop and grow in its local markets.

Matt Elliott, managing director, Elliott Baxter, said: ‘Myles and Sharon have built a fantastic business, with great staff and loyal customers and excellent mill partners. Since we first met it was obvious that our business styles were similar; the need for high levels of local stock combined with great distribution, an experienced and reputable sales force, backed up by efficient administration. We believe that we can not only strengthens UniBoard’s position in their local market, but this move also opens the door to allow us introduce and develop the EBB product range into the Irish market.
