The use of high quality materials and special print finishes are playing a key role in the creation of collectible Blu-ray SteelBooks from specialist supplier EverythingBlu.
Rigid box specialist Pollard Group has been working with the company on a number of limited edition releases using its technical knowledge and experience to produce premium boxes that combine functionality and reliability with maximum impact decorative effects.
For one its most recent releases, Hot Fuzz, Pollard incorporated the specialist Scodix high gloss finish to provide intricate detail on the pistol grip and sunglasses in the on-pack imagery. The company’s specialism and technical ability were able to cope with movement tolerances during the printing process to ensure a universal finish that maintained design details on both the front and back covers and the spine.
Another recent project saw the use of multi-level embossing and individual numbering for the 1000 limited edition copies of Scott Pilgrim vs The World.
