BPIF Cartons helps raise money for worthy cause

Packaging Solutions

At this year’s BPIF Cartons President’s Lunch, which was attended by 100 senior executives from both carton converter and partner members, a fantastic £2000 was raised for EACH, the East Anglian Children’s Hospices. This takes the total raised over the last three lunches to £4500, which will help contribute to the 374 children and young people, who currently need care, and the 388 family members receiving face to face support.

The charity supports families and cares for children and young people with life threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, and Suffolk. The family centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management support, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies and counselling; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.

The charity offers families flexibility and control over where they receive their care and support, including where their child dies; at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton (Cambridge), Quidenham (Norfolk) and The Treehouse (Ipswich). More than half their care and support is delivered in the family home and community, or in surroundings familiar and comfortable for the family.

All the support is provided free of charge and is tailored for the needs of all family members and delivered where the families wish – in their own home, at hospital, in the community or at one of the three hospices.

Mark Ferguson, managing director, Castle Colour Packaging, said: ‘Many of the UK’s leading carton producers and their suppliers have been pleased to support this worthy cause for the last three years. This incredible charity delivers vital support to families and care to children with life threatening conditions, and the latest donation will help them to deliver that critical service.’
