Print Solutions
South Korea’s prominent ink maker Kwang Myung Ink (KMI) has announced a new global strategy; increasing its research and development resources and appointing Print Business Solutions (PBS) as its global business development team.
Founded in 1976 and located in Busan, South Korea, KMI is one of the leading offset ink manufacturers in Asia, delivering continuous growth over the last 40 years.
With a leading edge resins and inks manufacturing facility, KMI offers high quality inks for sheetfed, heatset and coldset print applications.
Founder and chairman Lee Nam Kyu and his son president, Jason Lee have now decided to further accelerate the KMI success story through two major initiatives:
Increase of research and development resources and capabilities, in order to enlarge its inks product-portfolio, especially in the UV segment.
Appointment of PBS to drive its global business development, developing and supporting a global dealer network.
‘This is an important step in our company strategy, showing KMI’s commitment to the offset industry,’ explained Jason Lee. ‘We see a significant opportunity to expand into new geographies and into new product segments. Our driver for success will always remain our focus on product quality and lean cost management.
‘This long term partnership with the PBS team will allow us to accelerate our business development. Their offset market expertise and global coverage is a perfect fit to deliver on KMI’s strategy.’
‘I am very impressed with KMI’s manufacturing efficiency and product quality,’ said Romain Boulot, president of PBS. ‘Leveraging KMI’s large product portfolio together with a recognised dealer network, we will be offering a very attractive product and service package to offset printers globally.’
