An MK 1050 YM1-11 B1 automatic platen hot stamping press will bring hot foiling, embossing, debossing, die cutting and perforating on B1 sheets in-house and a Herzog & Heyman M7 master mailer machine will expand the options for direct mail finishing including re-moistable gluing. A Sakurai SC102A2 UV spot coating machine will offer spot UV varnishing and there are further machines to expand folding, stitching, lamination, cutting, drilling and die making facilities.
Mark Handford, chief executive of Pureprint, commented: ‘The creative printing and the direct mail markets like to use a wide range of finishing processes to increase impact and response rates so we have been keen to expand our in-house finishing skills for some time. This investment is an important step for us and we will be adding more specialist finishing equipment as part of our on-going investment programme.’
