Packaging Solutions
Pollard Group has hosted a dedicated training day for one of its major customers Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), underlining the rigid box specialist’s market leading capabilities in the design and production of effective presentation packaging.
Attendees included members of Walgreens Boots Alliance’s sourcing teams and managers of its major brands. The half day event, which included a full factory tour, was designed to introduce them to the process of box making from initial design concepts and graphics through manufacturing to print finishing and decoration.
‘Effective packaging can play a vital role in enhancing and protecting brand reputation and maintaining consumer loyalty,’ explained Zoë Russell, Pollard group beauty team account manager, who hosted the course.
‘Our aim was to give our customers a greater understanding of the entire process of manufacturing a box and what needs to be taken into consideration at every stage. This will help to speed up the introduction of a new pack.’
‘This was an informative and enjoyable event,’ commented Sharon Brown, packaging technologist at Walgreens Boots Alliance. ‘It provided a very useful insight into box manufacturing which will be extremely useful when we look to develop new concepts and formats to maximise our product offerings with cost-effective solutions.’
