As one of the leading businesses in Cheshire, Winsford based Jiffy Packaging received a coveted invitation to join Her Majesty The Queen who was accompanied by The Duchess of Sussex, when the royal party visited the county 14 June).
Representing Jiffy was Fiona MacDougall, sales and marketing director, who has worked for the company at its Winsford headquarters for 16 years.
Jiffy has been manufacturing in Cheshire since 1964. The company’s iconic Jiffy Padded Bag is still manufactured on the same machine that was installed at the Winsford Industrial Estate back in 1964.
It is now part of a state of the art manufacturing facility making padded bags, bubble film, bubble lined mailers to name but a few of the company’s products. The company’s most recent innovation following a multi-million pound investment is the introduction of extrusion technology to manufacture polyethylene foam.
Speaking about the royal invitation, Fiona said: ‘It was a huge privilege and honour for Jiffy to be represented at this majestic luncheon and to be part of The Queen and Duchess of Sussex’s historic visit to Cheshire.
‘I made some great connections with other guests over lunch and even managed to get a photograph with The Lord Mayor of Chester and his wife, Janet, The Lady Mayoress.’
