Acorn Labels has invested in a new e-Flex 430 mm narrow web press with full servo drive technology from Focus Label Machinery.
The press, installed in April 2018, offers a new and productive way to increase productivity and uptime to the company’s customer base.
Built on a modular construction to allow growth as and when required the e-Flex with full UV, die station and sheeter, turnbar with delam/relam and reverse print, 1000 mm unwind and twin 700 mm rewinds to slit and split reels plus an extended 1000 mm rewind to support longer runs and heavy duty card, the press offers future proofing for the company to expand the core business.
Sam Heneker, production manager for Acorn Labels, said of the installation and production output so far: ‘The Focus team, from first meeting, design conception through to installation and training, worked hard to support our ideas. The press so far has been a game changer for us and we have been able to up production speeds quite easily by over 20% – this will grow as we bed the press in further. The e-Flex is a quality peace of engineering that we can utilise to increase our capacity and growth.’
