Hamillroad Software has announced that DuPont Cyrel Easy plates have been approved for use with Bellissima Digitally Modulated Screening (DMS). Hamillroad CEO Andy Cave said, ‘During the research and development phase for Bellissima DMS, we involved a number of suppliers within the flexographic printing industry. During this process, we were able to test their technologies and find the best solution partners to take Bellissima DMS to market.’
Andy continued, ‘Working with the team at DuPont, we were able to achieve excellent results on press. We have been able to fine tune the solution to ensure the best possible results for the printer, and in addition to this, we have also been able to reduce machine issues, including: bounce, barring, and slur, in some cases eliminating them completely. We believe the technology solution is transformative and will enable flexographic printers to push the envelope of what is currently possible in flexo.’ Sam Ponzo, Americas sales director, DuPont Advanced Printing, said: ‘DuPont works with leading industry partners to bring the best solutions to our customers. Bellissima DMS is a great technology extension for our Cyrel Easy plate portfolio, which further helps reduce the quality gap between gravure and flexo printing. Our customers can use this technology to expand the flexo footprint in the market.’ Bellissima DMS is distributed by Apex International. Hamillroad Software and Apex International formed Aniken Graphics International, a joint venture created to bring Bellissima Digitally Modulated Screening into the flexographic mainstream.
