IFS partners with ProCo Spark

Print Solutions

Intelligent Finishing Systems is supporting ProCo Spark, an education and innovation initiative created by ProCo.

ProCo Spark has been developed with print buyers and specifiers in mind to showcase inspirational print applications and encourage boundary pushing creativity.

Giles Bowes, managing director of ProCo, explained: ‘Spark is a really exciting concept for us. It is all about collaboration at both our Sheffield and Stansted sites. We are already getting a great reaction from customers, with people asking for bespoke sessions and booking months in advance.’

IFS has supplied a Horizon CRF-362 creaser/folder, a BQ-270V single clamp perfect binder and an SPF-200A bookletmaker with a HOF-400 digital feeder and a TBC200L top and bottom cutter at Stansted, and StitchLiner 5500 and BQ-270V at Sheffield.

Giles continued, ‘Our vision is to improve knowledge among customers, colleagues and partners through collaboration via a bespoke learning environment, as well as our working studio, press room, finishing and fulfilment teams. We also share some brilliant examples of innovation in print. That is where IFS comes in. Working with the systems from IFS allows us to bring ideas to life into finished products with high quality results.

‘We have several courses as part of our Knowledge Series, taking people from an introduction to print, to campaign creation and print as part of a multichannel marketing campaign. Each course provides creative awareness of what is actually possible; the technical skills to actually ask for what is wanted – how to specify the project requirements, and thirdly, commercial considerations to work within budgets, timescales and to add value and engage with end customers in more cost effective ways.’

Bryan Godwyn, IFS managing director, added: ‘We are excited to be part of such an inspiring initiative that promotes dynamic and aspirational print. Our systems are known for their robust and reliable build as well as their high quality, accurate and effective results. But this allows them to showcase the more creative opportunities that operations can embrace.’
