FAQ

Who can enter?

All companies, organisations, and individuals are eligible to enter. We welcome entries from companies of all sizes and disciplines from local one man bands to global multinational corporations – and everything in between. The main criteria is that you are innovating.

​

To be as inclusive as possible, we welcome nominations from within your own business, or from third parties – customers, suppliers, employees etc. In the interest of maintaining high response rates, and to maintain data security, we are unable to  reveal who has nominated you. 

​

How does it work?

Fill in the entry form in the chosen category, giving as much details as possible. Particularly important is the reason for nomination.

​

Once a nomination is received, our awards team will contact the designated company, organisation or person and ask if they would like to provide any further detail for consideration.

​

There will be one gold winner in each category, each year, with a futher two silver winners. On a yearly basis, all the category gold winners will be considered for the overall platinum Solutions' excellence award, which will be presented to one company, organisation or person that has excelled.

​

You will be contacted directly  by our awards team if you have been shortlisted, and all winners will be contact before any public announcements are made.

​

During your time in The Solutions Awards, your company will be featured on our website, with links back to yours, along with your contact details.

What does it cost?

It is free to enter The Solutions Awards. There is no cost for entry or to take part.

​

However, there are a number of optional opportunities to enhance your marketing and promotions around the awards at a nominal fee (which covers our time and administration). This includes a social media package for just £95, and a wider marketing package including social, PR, and dedicated editorial for just £245.

 

There will also be the opportunity, again optional, to be involved in the awards brochure/magazine , which will be published online twice a year, with a full page advert and editorial, which we are happy to write for you for just £500.

What will we win?

The awards winner's package includes an exclusive handmade trophy, winner's certificate, and at gold level a free marketing package to help you promote your business even further. You will also be able to use the award winner logo on your correspondence, e-mails and websites.

What will we be judged on?

We will run a 'season' of online voting during your time in the awards and this can be great fun for both your and your customers. It gives your sales team the opportunity to contact customers and talk to them about what you do, and what you offer, but without a 'heavy sell'. Get customers, friends, colleagues, suppliers voting for you. We will also help to drive visitors to the voting pages to find out more about what you do and to cast their votes.

​

This is also a great way for customers to send us feedback on their good experiences with you, as they will be able to add comment (all votes and comments are individually vetted).

​

However, we realise that time is precious to every business, so as well as the voting, we will also have a panel of expert judges from various business disciplines, alongside our awards team, who will  look at areas such as innovations, growth, reputation, ethics, and customers feedback.

​

Is there an official award's ceremony?

We know that those who have attended our events in the past love then, but following feedback from entrants and supporters and research of the market, we have decided to focus our strengths online. It is not only a logistical challenge to coordinate our winners for one evening of celebration but it also places unnecessary cost burdens on them. This gives more opportunity for a wider range of businesses to be involved, as not all can afford time out of the office, and often extensive travel and hotels.

​

We also know that sponsors and supporters have often found that having to organise guests for the day just becomes more admin that takes time and cost.

​

Instead, we aim to take the time to work more closely with winners helping them to make the most of The Solutions Awards and importantly get real, tangible business value from them. We feel that in today's market, this is what most companies are calling out for. They love the recognition, but want it as streamlined, time and cost effective as possible.

​

On top of this, we had many companies who wished to enter the awards but were constrained because they were not mainland UK based. Now, they can enter with ease.
